A sincere welcome to the homepage of Múltí Kúltí, the humanist association’s cultural centre that is located in down-town Reykjavík at Ingólfsstræti 8 and which is also home to Friends of India and Friends of Kenya.

The opening times are Monday to Saturday, 13.00 – 17.00. The phone number is 8996570.

The objectives of the centre are to:

Promote increased relations and communication between people of different origins, within Iceland and abroad, with various events including poetry reading and story-telling, art shows, fund-raising dinners and first-hand reports from overseas.

Support cooperative projects between Icelandic volunteers and volunteers in Kenya and India. These projects involve support with living costs/ education of children, a malaria campaign, and other projects that might arise.

Run a coffee shop with meeting facilities where photos can be shown – an ideal venue for small meetings and presentation evenings. The venue is completely smoke- and alcohol-free.

Offer products for sale from India and Africa, with the emphasis on buying as many products as possible directly from the producers, generally women’s groups who have been paid a fair wage for their work.

Publishing and promoting works of 3rd. world authors in Iceland.
